Bring in the New Year in Canmore!

posted by: on: December 18, 2013 01:16:16 PM

Canmore has a some very special ways to bring in the New Year – the annual Party on the Pond.  This family-friendly event is sure to be a great way to close out 2013 and bring on 2014.  The fun begins at 6pm at the 10th Street Pond.  Come prepared for ice skating and a live DJ playing some great tunes.  Grab a hot dog and a hot chocolate and warm yourself near a bonfire.  At 9:30pm there will be a fireworks display, and another at Canmore’s Millenium Park at midnight.

If you’re looking to bring in the New Year with a bit more of a party atmosphere, you’ll want to check out one of the great parties offered by local Canmore pubs.  Head to the Drake Pub for a night of live music and dancing from the cover band Hot Tamales.  If you want to start the evening off with a delicious dinner, the Gold Package ticket ($90/person) includes a buffet with seafood and beef hip with all the holiday trimmings.  If you’ve already got dinner plans, the Silver Packages will get you in after 9pm for the music and dancing portion of the evening.  Tickets are available by contacting the Drake Pub.  The Rose & Crown Pub is also throwing a New Years Eve bash ($35/person) with live music from the Electric Squirrels and a sandwich buffet at midnight.  For tickets, contact the Rose & Crown Canmore.

If you want to ring in 2014 in style, check out the New Years Eve dress-to-impress “White” party at the Iron Goat.  In addition to dancing and live tunes by Kyemara, there is also a delicious dinner option available as well.  Come for it all ($85), or mix and match your evening by coming for dinner-only ($50) or dance party-only ($45).

No matter what plans you’ve got for New Years Eve this holiday season, you’ll love our Canmore hotel rooms, stunning amenities including an indoor pool + waterslide, and of course – close proximity to some of the best skiing in the Canadian Rockies.
