For over 20 years, the Canmore Winter Carnival has been a beloved tradition in the Bow Valley. From parades to performances to art exhibitions, the festival is jam packed with fun and exciting events. Many expect that the 2014 carnival will the be the best in Canmore’s history as it runs for a record 24 days and coincides with both the Alberta Winter Games and the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
A notable special feature of the 2014 carnival will be an “athlete’s village” in the Canmore Civic Centre Plaza, where spectators can gather to watch Olympic events on massive outdoor TV screens while enjoying food from local vendors.
