If you want to check out some tasty beverages while in Canmore, then it’s best that you head to the Grizzly Paw Brewing Company. With a variety of beers, spirits (coming soon!) and sodas brewed right here in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, visitors will be impressed at this local brewery’s assortment of finely crafted beverages.
All of The Grizzly Paw’s products are inspired by the incredible natural setting that surrounds it. Beers such as the Powder Hound Pilsner, Grumpy Bear Honey Wheat and the Beaver tail Raspberry Ale all refer to the majestic local wilderness. Don’t miss the chance to try their delicious handcrafted sodas as well: they have 1/3 of the sugar of regular cola and zero caffeine!
The brewery even has its own restaurant, which offers hearty Canadian food in a spectacular setting, as Canmore’s Three Sisters mountain range are in full view from its patio. Of course, local beer is served and parties (very) big or small can be entertained. And if you’re in the mood for apparel and other Grizzly Paw keepsakes, head to the gift shop to get your full range of clothing, mugs, bottle openers, keychains and more.
The brewery also offers tastings 7 days a week and tours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours are only $15 and offer visitors the chance to see the facility, sample beers, and take home a souvenir tasting glass!
If you’re in Canmore, then you’ve got to try some of our local brews. You should definitely make the effort to head to Grizzly Paw and try one of Alberta’s most authentic microbreweries. After you’ve enjoyed a relaxing beer, make your way to the Pocaterra Inn (responsibly!) for relaxing, affordable accommodations. We’ll keep you comfortable with all sorts of amenities, friendly staff, and spectacular views in every direction.
