Acclaimed folk duo The Compadres will make a special visit to the Communitea Café next month for an intimate show. Combining James Keelagan’s folky flair for storytelling with guitar Oscar Lopez’s intimate guitarwork, The Compadres have been wowing audiences for many years. Don’t miss the chance to catch this unique duo in a unique setting.

The accomplishments of these two compadres are very impressive. Both have earned Juno awards for their own individual careers. Born in Santiago Chile and moving to Canada in 1979, Oscar Lopez’ willingness to embrace new ideas and new cultures is very evident in his music. A true guitar virtuoso, the Juno- Lopez incorporates blues, jazz, pop and latin into his style. James Keelagan is a true Canadian folk hero, born and raised in Calgary. Together as The Compadres, the two have enjoyed a great deal of success, earning a Juno nomination and selling over 15,000 independent albums.

The Communitea Café is a stylish, modern teahouse located in Canmore’s beautiful downtown. They offer a full variety of gourmet teas and a delicious bistro-style menu. They also regularly host musical guests—check out their live music events page for all the latest info!

After the show at Communitea, head back to your spectacular room at the Pocaterra Inn.
